South Wonston Primary School Together, we will nurture, inspire, challenge and achieve

26th February 2018

This week Kestrels took part in a tennis workshop, where the class were supported by a coach to learn some basic tennis skills and also worked on our agility and reaction time! During English, we have published our 'WANTED' posters, for Frank and Jesse who are the two notorious criminals in the short film Ruckus. In Maths, we have continued our work on fractions. Year 4 have been looking at how we find a fraction of an amount, while Year 5 have been learning how to add fractions that have a different denominator!

Unfortunately, due to the snow, we haven't been able to enjoy the activities planned for World Book Day! Therefore, we would like everyone to complete a short book review of their favourite book to share with the class as a presentation.

A few ideas that you might like to include:

  • What is the book called?
  • Who is the author?
  • What is the main storyline?
  • Who is your favourite character? Why?
  • Why did you enjoy the book?
  • What makes the book memorable?
  • Who would you recommend the book to? Why?
  • Did the book help you to learn anything?

We look forward to reading them on our return to school!
