This week, Chaffinches have been very busy! Firstly, we had a local farmer come to visit us and teach us about how a farm is managed. We learnt all about the planting, fertilisation and harvesting process. We also learnt about the importance of wildlife and the fact that in order to farm effectively, you need the 'right weather'!
On Tuesday afternoon, Chaffinch class continued with our DT topic of 'Global food'. This week, we visited Germany and made Pretzels! We used many skills when mixing and kneading the dough. In the end our pretzels may have turned out looking more like bread rolls but they still tasted great!
On Wednesday morning, we had M&M productions come into school to deliver a fantastic pantomime: Jack and the Beanstalk. It was highly interactive and the set was very clever. The children had a great time joining in with the story and the dancing!
