This week has been extremely exciting as we had a visit from Peter Bunzl, author of Cogheart and Moonlocket. Peter explained to us about the characters in his books, and the process he went through to develop them. This involved going on some very interesting looking mechanical elephants which we were very envious of. He also let us in to some top secret information that there will be a 3rd book in the series which we are very much looking forward to reading. Whilst Peter was here, he also taught us how to make some simple animations using a pencil and a piece of paper! They were very effective, and were wonderfully creative and funny!
We also completed our topic fieldwork. To do this, we walked around South Wonston Village and looked at the different houses we could see. As small groups, we recorded these on a map using the key we created in class. We found that there were more bungalows in the village which differed to Provence-Alpes-Azur where there were more three-storey buildings.
Our home learning celebration was a fabulous event, we loved seeing all of your hard work on your topic puzzles and can't wait to see the next ones! Thank you for all of the time and effort that you have put into them.
Happy Easter to everyone, we hope you have a lovely break and we will see you in April!
