Mental Health Awareness Week - Monday 18th - Sunday 24th May 2020

  • Sofa Time with Louise Bomber - every Wednesday at 10:30am Louise Michelle Bomber is a specialist therapist, teacher and published author working in the area of trauma recovery for children and adolescents. In this video she seeks to support those parenting as foster carers, adoptive parents or kinship carers during this extraordinary season.

30th March - Sunday 5th April is World Autism Week.  Click on the links below for videos, assemblies, lesson ideas and printable resources to find out  more about Autism.  Watch The Trummies video to learn their 5 top tips - a few small adjustments we can all make that will make a big difference for everyone.

  • Free school resources One in every 100 UK school child is autistic, and over 40% of these say they have been bullied at school. Schools therefore play a huge part in promoting better understanding of autism and supporting their autistic pupils. This World Autism Awareness Week the National Autistic Society have free resources for all age groups to help children learn about autism and better understand their classmates. These include a special Daisy & Ollie series of learning resources and a new Trummies film.
  • Stories from the Spectrum ‘Stories from the Spectrum’ features voices from across the autism spectrum and highlights the rich variety of autistic experience. There are funny stories, thought-provoking stories, moving and challenging stories.

Think Ninja - an app for 11-18 year olds. Empowering children and young people to build resilience, manage their emotional health and to fulfil their potential.

Coronavirus Social Stories

Children's guide to Coronavirus - The Children’s Commissioner have produced a colourful, downloadable guide which aims to answer children’s questions about coronavirus, tell children how to stay safe and protect other people, with lots of ideas about how to make the best of their time at home
