Remembrance Day Reflections

Today across the school we paused at 11am to remember everyone who has given their lives or been injured fighting for our Country. In assembly on Monday the children learnt about John McCrae who wrote the poem 'In Flanders fields' and what inspired him to write it. This year some of our House Captains held the two minutes silence at the new Memorial recently installed near school on Downs Road. The House Captains added our own tribute to those who have died alongside the wreath that had already been laid by the village.
