YR/1 visit SeaCity museum in Southampton
The children in Hedgehogs, Rabbits and Squirrels spent a really interesting day at the Seacity Museum in Southampton on the 26 January. Having already begun learning about the story of the Titanic the visit helped them find out more through exploring the exhibits and taking part in a workshop. The staff at the museum commented on how much the children already knew about the Titanic and how enthusiastic they were to learn more.
Once back in school the children have been applying what they have learnt by writing stories with a historical theme.
Thank you to all the parent helpers who accompanied the trip and made it possible.
