After School Club Assistant

Salary Details:Grade C, £23,115 to £24,140 (£9,378 to £9,793 pro rata as part time) - term time only

Job/Person Summary

We would like to appoint a confident and creative person to assist in our breakfast and after school club. The ideal person would have some experience of working within a school environment, or would like to gain experience whilst undertaking their college or university qualifications.

Fully Funded Apprenticeships are available for on the job training. We also offer free childcare before and after school and the role is suitable for Job Sharing.

The post is for 5 afternoons per week 2.45 - 6.15.

The role will be varied and will include welcoming the children at the beginning of each session, signing the children out at the end of the day, preparing activities for the session, clearing away, organise, maintain, and clean play equipment and snack preparation. Work with groups of children to encourage inclusive play and lots of fun!

School Minibus Driver

Job/Person Summary

We are looking for a hardworking, flexible individual, to provide a safe, reliable and professional transport service for students of South Wonston Primary School. To ensure that the students using the service on a daily basis are collected and dropped off in a timely and safe manner.

We also offer free childcare before and after school and the role is suitable for Job Sharing.

Duties & Responsibilities 

The minibus driver will be required to collect a school minibus from the school site in the morning, carrying out daily checks of the minibus before leaving the site. The driver will conduct a run during the morning, collecting pupils from designated pick-up points and driving them to school. They will then conduct a run during the afternoon, collecting pupils from the school and dropping at the designated points for parent collection. They will be responsible for the safety and welfare of all passengers during the run. On arrival at school, the driver will hand the children over to the care of school staff, then report delivery of pupils to the School Office and carry out return checks on the minibus.

Further Information

The driver must have the relevant requirements to be able to drive a minibus, (D1), and will hold a clean driving licence. Preferably be MIDAS trained and hold a first aid qualification as well, however training can be provided.
