Part-time Learning Support Assistant (KS1) with Lunchtime Duty

  • Contract/Hours: LSA approximately 20.25 hours – Lunchtime 5 hours per week
  • Salary Type: Support Staff: Term time only + 1 week
  • Hours of Work:

LSA – 5 mornings and 2 afternoons (Lunchtime Assistant – Monday to Friday 1 hour per day) although hours negotiable dependent on the applicant

  • Salary Details: LSA - Grade B/C dependent on experience

(Actual salary is £9,222.72)

Lunchtime – Grade A (Actual salary is £2,194.68)


Job/Person Summary:

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated person as a Learning Support Assistant for 20.25 hours per week with a lunchtime Supervisor duty for 5 hours per week.  You must be passionate about making a difference to children’s progress and attainment to join our team for a one year fixed term position in the first instance. You will be supporting children within a KS1 class, in small groups or individually, as directed by class teachers.

Applicants should:

  • ideally have previous, recent experience of working in a school setting
  • have a calm  disposition with a good sense of humour
  • have a positive approach that supports the schools visions and values
  • have strong interpersonal skills with children and adults
  • be a team player with a professional attitude
  • be able to implement clear boundaries and routines
  • be able to work independently and with initiative
  • have good English, Maths and IT skills
